Deck overview

This Grixis deck is commanded by Kefka, Court Mage, executing a hybrid strategy of symmetric hand attrition, spellslinger burn, and reanimation. The primary game plan revolves around accelerating mana in the early turns using rocks like Sol Ring and Mana Vault to deploy Kefka by Turn 4. Upon entering and attacking, Kefka forces all players to discard while refilling your hand based on the card types discarded. This continuous discard fuels asymmetric payoffs such as Waste Not, Archfiend of Ifnir, and Tergrid, God of Fright, which strip opposing resources and clear opposing boards. Once opponents are starved of options, the deck transitions into a win through spellslinger burn triggers from Guttersnipe, Coruscation Mage, and Kuja, Genome Sorcerer, or mass reanimation spells like Rise of the Dark Realms and Breach the Multiverse. Low-cost counterspells and removal protect key plays, though the basic-heavy mana base and lack of enchantment removal require careful sequencing.
