The Nazgul Ride Once More by uberstrata

Format: Commander

Commander: Sauron, the Dark Lord

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Sauron, the Dark Lord deck is a Grixis Wraith-tribal strategy built around the Ring-tempts mechanic. The commander acts as both a token generator (amassing Orcs from opponent spells) and a massive card-advantage engine (discard hand, draw four each time the Ring tempts you). The deck aims to create a wide board of Wraiths-using 9 copies of Nazgul, Lord of the Nazgul, and type-changing enchantments like Conspiracy and Maskwood Nexus to turn every creature into a Wraith-then overwhelm opponents with combat damage backed by evasion (fear from Cover of Darkness, shadow from Minas Morgul, Dark Fortress, or menace via Lord of the Nazgul's tokens). Multiple mass-reanimation spells (Patriarch's Bidding, Rise of the Dark Realms, Bloodline Bidding) provide resilience after board wipes. The deck wins through incremental combat and value, not fast combos.
