SMAUG by Hudjoy1

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The primary plan is to resolve Smaug the Impenetrable and turn noncombat damage against him into a Treasure engine. Pyrohemia, Cut Propulsion, and Blasphemous Act carelessly damage the indestructible 8/7, producing a burst of tokens that funds further burn. From there the deck wins through repeated red burn, Mirkwood Bats drain, or the artifact-count wins of Hellkite Tyrant and Knuckles the Echidna. The commander is both the mana engine and the main beater; Imodane the Pyrohammer acts as a hidden lieutenant, converting single-target burn on Smaug into table-wide damage.
