Deck overview

This Rakdos deck fuses Dragon tribal stompy with an explosive Treasure economy led by Smaug, Wicked Worm. Early turns establish mana rocks and cheap Treasure generators like Kalain, Reclusive Painter, Magda, Brazen Outlaw, and Rivaz of the Claw. Deploying Smaug scales off opposing artifact counts and converts every Treasure spent into card draw, quickly chaining through the library. The midgame pivots into overwhelming aerial pressure and direct burn through payoffs like Terror of the Peaks, Scourge of Valkas, Dragon Tempest, and Lathliss, Dragon Queen. Asymmetric sweepers such as Crux of Fate and Kindred Dominance clear opposing boards while preserving your Dragon fleet, allowing high-power fliers to eliminate all three opponents over two combat rotations by Turn 8.
