Deck overview

This deck is a Sultai tribal theft strategy built around Maralen, Fae Ascendant. By combining low-cost Elf mana dorks and disruptive Faeries, the deck accelerates into its commander on Turn 4. Every Elf or Faerie entering the battlefield exiles cards from opponents' libraries, allowing Maralen to cast their most powerful spells for free. The deck leverages cloning effects like Spark Double, Sakashima of a Thousand Faces, and Irenicus's Vile Duplication alongside Nanogene Conversion to turn single creature entries into overwhelming trigger cascades. Untap effects like Seedborn Muse and flash enablers such as High Fae Trickster unlock Maralen's 'once each turn' cast restriction across opponents' turns, generating massive card and mana advantage. Games are closed out through a combination of stolen haymakers, wide combat damage, and passive life loss from Brainstealer Dragon and Ancient Cellarspawn, backed by a deep suite of counterspells.
