Format: Commander

Commander: Sahir, Visitor in Darkness

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This mono-black deck uses Sahir's eminence and repeated one-life loss to draw cards, grow counters, and fund lifegain/drain payoffs. Its main finish is the Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose plus Bloodthirsty Conqueror loop: any opponent life loss becomes a gain trigger, which loops into infinite drain. If that line is answered, Cabal Coffers with Urborg and Crypt Ghast powers a large Exsanguinate or Gray Merchant of Asphodel. Vito is the hidden commander of the combo line, while Sahir doubles as the engine and a voltron backup. The deck can also win by attacking with an unblockable, lifelink-equipped Sahir or token.
