Commander: Sheoldred, the Apocalypse

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a mono-black draw-punisher and life-drain deck helmed by Sheoldred, the Apocalypse. The core plan is to force opponents to draw cards through symmetric engines like Font of Mythos, Howling Mine, Temple Bell, and Teferi's Puzzle Box, then punish every draw with Sheoldred, Underworld Dreams, Fate Unraveler, Ob Nixilis, the Hate-Twisted, Orcish Bowmasters, Psychosis Crawler, and Scrawling Crawler. The deck also carries a deep life-drain combo package - Sanguine Bond, Exquisite Blood, Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Enduring Tenacity, and Bloodthirsty Conqueror - that assembles into an infinite life-loss loop. Aetherflux Reservoir provides an alternate finisher, converting the deck's massive life gain into a 50-damage laser. With heavy card draw (Phyrexian Arena, Black Market Connections, Greed, The One Ring) and three premium tutors, the deck grinds card advantage while draining the table, closing games through either the infinite combo or attrition.
