Deck overview

This Abzan deck pairs Yoshimaru, Ever Faithful and Reyhan, Last of the Abzan to build a fast, highly resilient +1/+1 counters aggro engine. By deploying Yoshimaru on Turn 1 and chaining low-cost legendary permanents alongside counter multipliers like Bristly Bill, Spine Sower, Hardened Scales, and Kami of Whispered Hopes, the deck rapidly grows its board into formidable combat threats. Reyhan enters on Turn 3 to add substantial power and act as an insurance policy, ensuring counters transfer to surviving creatures whenever threats die. Redundant payoffs like The Ozolith and Felisa, Fang of Silverquill preserve board presence through standard removal. A premier protection suite—including Clever Concealment, Flawless Maneuver, and Heroic Intervention—shields the team from wipes and exile effects. Combat closers such as Overwhelming Stampede, Akroma's Will, and Champion of Lambholt allow the deck to bypass blockers and eliminate all three opponents across sequential combat steps by Turn 7.
