Deck overview

This Jund deck is a forced-combat midrange strategy led by Thantis, the Warweaver. Its primary goal is to turn the table against itself by forcing all creatures to attack each combat while directing that aggression away from you. Early turns use efficient 1-2 mana acceleration to deploy goad anchors such as Kardur, Doomscourge, Fumiko the Lowblood, or Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos on Turn 4. Once combat is mandatory, engines like Deathreap Ritual and Karazikar, the Eye Tyrant generate substantial card draw from dying creatures and combat connections. Thantis, the Warweaver grows into a massive threat whenever opponents attack, while cards like Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs and Arachnogenesis protect your life total. After opponents deplete their life totals through mandatory combat, the deck finishes the game on Turn 7 using burst damage from Berserk, Temur Battle Rage, Kessig Wolf Run, or Chandra's Ignition.
