Deck overview

Niko, Light of Hope commands an Azorius Blink and Token Copy strategy designed to turn humble enchantment Shards into overwhelming combat swarms. The deck deploys Niko early to generate Shard tokens, then casts high-impact nonlegendary creatures such as Battle Angels of Tyr, Hero of Bladehold, or Giggling Skitterspike. By activating Niko's ability, the Shards transform into copies of these threats, allowing the deck to swing immediately with multiple token copies that bypass summoning sickness. An extensive suite of flicker spells like Ephemerate and Soulherder repeatedly blinks Niko to amass Shards and re-trigger enter-the-battlefield abilities. Card advantage engines such as Candlekeep Sage and Entity Tracker maintain a full hand, while efficient counterspells and phase-out protection like Teferi's Protection shield key turns. Without relying on fast mana or fragile combos, the deck smoothly transitions from resilient value accumulation into decisive aerial beatdowns.
