Deck overview

This deck executes an aggressive creature-cheating strategy centered on Kaalia of the Vast. By deploying 2-CMC mana rocks and haste-granting equipment in the early turns, Kaalia attacks on Turn 4 to put massive Angels, Demons, and Dragons onto the battlefield tapped and attacking for free. The premier early strike pairs Kaalia with Master of Cruelties, which bypasses its solo attack clause to instantly eliminate an unblocked opponent. Subsequent turns overwhelm the remaining players with devastating damage doublers like Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, extra combat steps via Aurelia, the Warleader, and board-clearing dragons such as Balefire Dragon. A backup infinite combat loop exists through Helm of the Host and Aurelia. Because the deck relies on a very lean 23-land base and high-cost payoffs, aggressive mulligans for early ramp and protection are essential to safeguard Kaalia and maintain tempo.
