I Am Fire, I Am Death (And Taxes) by PattyPat

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Smaug the Impenetrable is a Rakdos damage-redirection and Treasure engine. Because Smaug is indestructible, dealing noncombat damage to it generates an avalanche of Treasure tokens without losing your commander. The primary win conditions convert this burst generation into lethal table damage using drain pieces like Mirkwood Bats, Marionette Apprentice, and Reckless Fireweaver, or by funneling mana into Torment of Hailfire and Exsanguinate. Secondary win paths exploit damage-reflecting creatures such as Brash Taunter, Stuffy Doll, and Wrathful Red Dragon with heavy damage sweepers like Blasphemous Act and Star of Extinction, alongside alternate victory triggers from Revel in Riches and Hellkite Tyrant.
