Deck overview

This mono-red artifact-combo deck is built around Kurkesh, Onakke Ancient, using his {R}-paid copy trigger to double the activated abilities of its artifacts. The primary plan is to sculpt a hand with mana rocks and rummage spells, then assemble an unbounded-mana/untap engine - most cleanly Basalt Monolith plus Rings of Brighthearth - and convert that mana into a table kill with Walking Ballista, Comet Storm, or Staff of Domination. Secondary tracks include Magistrate's Scepter extra-turn loops, Darksteel Reactor, and The Millennium Calendar. Goblin Welder, Trash for Treasure, Daretti, Scrap Savant, and Scrap Mastery give the deck a powerful graveyard-rebuild axis. Kurkesh matters, but the real engine is the artifact shell itself; most win lines live entirely in the 99.
