(non)Humans & (non)Cats by user8891158

Format: Commander

Commander: Winota, Joiner of Forces

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a token-focused Boros aggro deck built entirely around Winota, Joiner of Forces. The plan is to spend the early turns creating non-Human attackers - Cats, Rabbits, Spirits, Inklings, Robots, and Mutants - then cast Winota so every non-Human swing flips a free Human onto the battlefield, tapped, attacking, and indestructible. The deck wins through overwhelming go-wide combat damage rather than combos. Key payoffs such as Dawnstrike Vanguard, Luxknight Breacher, and Aang, Air Nomad are the best Winota hits, while Old Hob, Alleycat Blues and Sami, Ship's Engineer keep the non-Human supply flowing every turn. Combat tricks and anthems like Leader's Talent, Appeal to Eirdu, Zealous Display, and Spiritcall Enthusiast's back face close out games, with Winds of Abandon serving as a one-sided board clear to open the final attack.
