Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet artifact midrange deck centered around Tony Stark // The Invincible Iron Man. In the opening turns, the deck establishes low-cost mana rocks and cost reducers while using Tony's front-side activated ability to dig for high-impact artifacts. On Turn 5, Tony transforms into The Invincible Iron Man for {4}{U}{R}, gaining flying and haste while cheating devastating artifact permanents directly onto the battlefield at the beginning of combat. Premier cheat targets include Blightsteel Colossus for swift infect eliminations, Cyberdrive Awakener to animate an evasive army, and equipment like The Reaver Cleaver or Nettlecyst. The deck supports its proactive combat plan with a tight suite of low-cost countermagic, targeted creature removal, and asymmetric resets like Cyclonic Rift and Vandalblast. Alternative engines like Master Transmuter provide robust independence if the commander is removed, driving consistent mid-game pressure across the table.
