The Endless Ocean by janjan

Format: Commander

Commander: Katara, Waterbending Master

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This deck pilots a flash-and-proliferate control strategy helmed by Katara, Waterbending Master, designed to generate experience counters by casting instants on opponents' turns and then converting those counters into massive card draw on Katara's attack. The primary win conditions are alternate-win cards such as Laboratory Maniac, Jace, Wielder of Mysteries, and Triskaidekaphile, supported by Psychosis Crawler for incidental drain. The deck leans heavily on cheap instants, bounce spells, counterspells, and proliferate effects (Inexorable Tide, Flux Channeler, Thrummingbird) to accumulate experience counters and maintain board control. A few cost-reduction engines (Eluge, the Shoreless Sea, As Foretold, High Tide) help accelerate into large draw spells like Enter the Infinite or chain multiple cantrips in a single turn. The commander is the central card-advantage engine, but the deck can still execute its lab-man plan through pure draw power if Katara is neutralized-though at reduced speed.
