Deck overview

This Azorius Blink deck pairs Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward with Candlekeep Sage to create an engine of card advantage and token swarms. The strategy deploys low-cost utility permanents that draw cards, ramp, or remove opposing threats on entry. Casting Abdel Adrian exiles these permanents temporarily, creating a 1/1 Soldier token for each. Whenever Abdel is flickered by instant spells or repeatable engines like Soulherder, the exiled permanents return to trigger their abilities before being exiled again by Abdel. This loop repeatedly draws cards through Candlekeep Sage and doubles the token board. The deck protects its pieces using efficient phase-out and counterspells, while using asymmetrical board wipes like Slaughter the Strong to clear opposing defenses before swinging for lethal combat damage.
