Deck overview

This deck is a four-color Witch-Maw (WUBG) midrange token and counter strategy led by Ikra Shidiqi, the Usurper and Ishai, Ojutai Dragonspeaker. It blends Strixhaven Quandrix Fractal growth, Silverquill Inkling token generation, and an extensive Gate land subtheme. Early turns focus on mana development using Gate searchers like Circuitous Route and utility ramp like Zimone, Quandrix Prodigy. Mid-game turns establish compounding engines such as Paradox Zone, Lattice Library, and Zimone, Paradox Sculptor, while Ishai, Ojutai Dragonspeaker grows rapidly from opposing spells. Critical onset arrives around Turn 6 with massive singular threats like Body of Research, mass noncreature wipe from Blot Out the Sky, or trample support via Emil, Vastlands Roamer and Basilisk Gate. Ikra Shidiqi, the Usurper provides an enormous life cushion based on creature toughness. The deck finishes opponents by Turn 8 through wide and tall combat damage, with Maze's End serving as an alternate Gate win condition.
