Deck overview

This is a Grixis spellslinger deck helmed by Saruman, the White Hand, built to cast high-mana-value noncreature spells to amass a towering Orc Army and then finish the table with a single large drain or damage spell. The deck leans heavily on free-casting effects (Mizzix's Mastery, Expropriate, Dance with Calamity) and extra turns (Nexus of Fate, Expropriate) to turn a single explosive turn into a table kill. The commander's ward {2} for Orcs and Goblins provides some protection, but the real plan is to chain spells, grow the Army, and then fire a Chandra's Ignition or Essence Harvest for lethal reach. Backup lines involve Kess, Dissident Mage for recursion, Cosmic Cube for free spells on attack, and The Reaver Cleaver for treasure generation.
