Deck overview

This five-color deck pairs Leonardo, the Balance and April O'Neil, Live on the Scene to create a synergistic engine centered on Mutants, Ninjas, Turtles, and +1/+1 counters. April investigates whenever a relevant creature enters the battlefield, which immediately triggers Leonardo to place +1/+1 counters across your entire team. The deck accelerates in the opening turns using 2-CMC mana rocks before deploying both commanders on Turns 2 through 4. Mid-game turns focus on compounding power with counter multipliers like Corpsejack Menace and The Earth Crystal, while going wide with token generators like Sally Pride, Lioness Leader. Critical combat pressure begins around Turn 6, utilizing Leonardo's five-color activated ability to grant menace, trample, and lifelink, or utilizing Raphael, the Muscle to double combat damage. Five mass board wipes maintain parity against faster aggro decks, while asymmetric options like Wave Goodbye clear paths for a decisive combat victory around Turn 8.
