Deck overview

This deck is a Selesnya midrange deck built around Lathiel, the Bounteous Dawn, focusing on converting lifegain triggers into massive +1/+1 counters to overwhelm opponents through combat. The strategy pairs low-cost lifegain engines like Soul Warden, Essence Warden, and Pristine Talisman with counter multipliers such as Hardened Scales and Conclave Mentor. Once the board grows, evasion enablers like Abzan Falconer and Duskshell Crawler ensure large creatures push through blockers. The deck also includes a compact infinite combo between Ivy Lane Denizen and Scurry Oak, which can be fetched directly via Defense of the Heart to create an arbitrarily large army of Squirrel tokens. Supported by efficient white and green removal spells, the deck reliably establishes must-answer pressure by Turn 6 and looks to close the game on Turn 7.
