Commander: Helga, Skittish Seer

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Helga, Skittish Seer is a Bant +1/+1-counter value engine that turns big creature casts into card draw, life, and a scalable mana battery. The deck wants to land Helga early, grow her power with 4+ mana-value creatures, then use her tap ability with untappers like Chakram Retriever, Seeker of Skybreak, Nimbleclaw Adept, and Intruder Alarm to chain-cast multiple haymakers per turn. It pressures through enormous trampling threats - Koma, Cosmos Serpent, Avacyn, Angel of Hope, Ghalta, Primal Hunger, Kalonian Hydra, and Primordial Hydra - and closes with a Craterhoof Behemoth overrun or a cascade turn off Apex Devastator. X-cost creatures like Hydroid Krasis and The Goose Mother are ideal Helga mana sinks. There is no compact tutor package or fast mana, so the deck plays as a fair but explosive midrange combat deck that snowballs once Helga survives a turn cycle.
