Deck overview

This deck is a Boros spellslinger and control strategy led by Taii Wakeen, Perfect Shot. The game plan uses efficient noncombat burn spells to remove opposing creatures, triggering Taii Wakeen's ability to draw cards whenever damage matches a creature's exact toughness. This steady card flow controls the board while digging toward decisive win conditions. To close the game, the deck transitions into an infinite mana combo using Basalt Monolith and Rings of Brighthearth, channeling unlimited colorless mana into a lethal Crackle with Power that eliminates all three opponents at once. Alternatively, the deck punishes wide creature boards with damage reflection engines like Repercussion combined with Blasphemous Act. A rich suite of protection spells—including Grand Abolisher, Silence, and free interaction like Deflecting Swat—shields the winning turn against opposing disruption.
