Deck overview

This deck is a high-speed competitive Golgari combo list centered on explosive mana acceleration and compact win conditions. Primarily helmed by Chatterfang, Squirrel General, the deck functions both as a devastating token-based aristocrats engine and an efficient turbo shell. Its premier win route leverages Witherbloom Apprentice paired with Chain of Smog, which drains the entire table in a single turn cycle without passing priority. Backed by format-defining fast mana such as Dark Ritual, Chrome Mox, and Mana Vault, the deck consistently executes on Turn 3. When facing disruption, it easily pivots to secondary loops involving Chatterfang, Pitiless Plunderer, Warren Soultrader, and Marionette Apprentice, or uses Ad Nauseam to assemble insurmountable card advantages. A dense protection package featuring Veil of Summer, Autumn's Veil, and Defense Grid ensures critical win attempts resolve safely through opposing countermagic.
