Deck overview

This Azorius deck leverages the commander pairing of Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward and Candlekeep Sage to execute an overwhelming blink and token engine. Abdel exile-tucks friendly nonland permanents on entry to generate a battalion of 1/1 Soldier creature tokens, while Candlekeep Sage turns every departure and arrival of your commander into immediate card draw. By combining this engine with abundant blink enablers such as Teleportation Circle, Thassa, Deep-Dwelling, and Ephemerate, the deck repeatedly re-triggers utility creatures like Mulldrifter and Inspiring Overseer while swelling its token ranks. The win condition is straightforward yet resilient: amass a wide army of tokens and swing for lethal combat damage over two rotations. Abdel's exile ability doubles as insurance against traditional destroy sweepers, returning your exiled board if he dies. While vulnerable to mass exile effects, the deck offers sustained draw velocity and explosive board presence.
