Deck overview

This deck is a Bant toughness-based aggressive engine commander deck centered on Arcades, the Strategist. The primary strategy deploys low-cost creatures with defender during the opening turns to build a durable defensive front. Once Arcades enters on Turn 4, these low-mana walls immediately transform into potent offensive threats that assign combat damage equal to their toughness while cantripping upon entry. The deck compounds this advantage through recurring blink engines like Soulherder and Teleportation Circle, drawing through the library to find one-sided board wipes such as Slaughter the Strong and Fell the Mighty. Evasion enablers like Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive and sudden toughness pumps like Tower Defense turn large defensive stat lines into lethal combat bursts across Turns 6 and 7.
