Deck overview

This deck is a focused Selesnya lifegain and +1/+1 counters midrange strategy led by Lathiel, the Bounteous Dawn. The primary plan deploys low-cost lifegain sources like Soul Warden, Soul's Attendant, and Healer's Hawk, converting every point of gained life into permanent power via Lathiel's end-step counter trigger. Counter multipliers such as Hardened Scales, Conclave Mentor, and The Earth Crystal accelerate this power growth rapidly. Trample and evasion enablers like Garruk's Uprising, Duskshell Crawler, and Sphere Grid ensure large threats break through blockers to eliminate opponents in combat. The deck also runs alternate win conditions in Felidar Sovereign and Test of Endurance, leveraging high life totals directly. Resilience pieces including Heroic Intervention, The Ozolith, and Sigarda, Font of Blessings protect key permanents from removal, allowing the deck to maintain steady board pressure.
