Commander: The Scarab God

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The Scarab God leads a Dimir Zombie tribal deck that wins by flooding the battlefield with Zombies, pumping them with lords, and turning deaths into damage. The commander is a flexible engine: its upkeep drain and scry reward wide boards, while its activated ability reanimates any creature as a 4/4 black Zombie. There is no hidden commander; this is a straightforward tribal/reanimator shell. The deck also contains a compact infinite loop using Rooftop Storm, Gravecrawler, Ashnod's Altar, and either Diregraf Captain or Plague Belcher, so it can win without combat. Recursion and mass-reanimation effects provide resilience after board wipes. The main structural gap is the complete absence of artifact removal, making resolved artifact-based graveyard hate especially dangerous.
