Deck overview

Olag and Miau, New Friends leads an Abzan dual-tribal aggro and drain deck that merges Cats and Zombies into a compounding +1/+1 counter engine. The commander bridges both tribes: whenever a Zombie enters, a Cat gets a +1/+1 counter, and whenever a Cat enters, a Zombie gets a counter. Changeling creatures and token generators trigger both halves of this ability, accelerating board growth. At each end step, Olag and Miau drain every opponent for life equal to your tapped Cats and Zombies, turning combat attacks, mana tapping via Cryptolith Rite, and crew-style mechanics into direct life loss. Powerhouses like Sovereign Okinec Ahau, God-Eternal Oketra, and Skyhunter Strike Force quickly escalate board power to lethal thresholds. Supported by premium tutors, efficient removal, and robust anti-interaction pieces like Grand Abolisher, the deck consistently closes out games by Turn 6 through combined combat damage and end-step life loss.
