Deck overview

A Mardu sacrifice-control deck that uses forced-sacrifice effects to strip blockers and convert every death into Treasure. Malik enters, forces an opponent to sacrifice one or two chosen creatures, and starts a Treasure chain that also feeds Mahadi, Gadrak, Lotho, and Mastermind Plum. The primary finish is a huge Torment of Hailfire, usually amplified by Alchemist's Talent once it reaches Level 3; Blood for the Blood God!, Rottenmouth Viper, and Kefka provide secondary drains. The commander is a recurring removal and ramp tool, not the win condition. No hidden commander exists; the list is openly built around Malik as a value engine. The deck plays a mid-length attrition game, using edicts, punishers like The Lord of Pain and Painful Quandary, and card draw to reach its X-spell.
