This Dimir deck utilizes Garland, Royal Kidnapper to turn the Monarch mechanic into an engine for creature theft and political disruption. The game plan starts by accelerating into Garland on Turn 4, giving the Monarch token to an opponent with a formidable creature to immediately gain control of it with a +2/+2 anthem and sacrifice protection.
