Basic Tergrid - Discard/Sacrifice = Mine by Lilmissemf

Deck overview

This mono-black attrition deck uses Tergrid, God of Fright to convert symmetrical sacrifice and discard effects into an overwhelming asymmetric engine. The strategy focuses on deploying Tergrid alongside group edict creatures like Plaguecrafter, Fleshbag Marauder, and Demon's Disciple, or multi-player discard spells like Syphon Mind. Each trigger forces all three opponents to sacrifice permanents or discard cards, which Tergrid immediately steals onto your battlefield. This empties opposing hands and boards while building a massive board presence of stolen permanents. Efficient black tutors like Demonic Tutor and Vampiric Tutor ensure consistent access to enablers, while Grave Pact and Dictate of Erebos maintain creature control even when Tergrid is absent. Protection cards like Kaya's Ghostform and Swiftfoot Boots shield the commander during critical turns. Once opponents run out of answers, the deck closes the game by attacking with stolen creatures and draining life totals with Liliana's Caress and Fell Specter.
