Deck overview

This deck is an Esper control and combo strategy led by Marneus Calgar. It leverages high-efficiency token generators, such as Lotho, Corrupt Shirriff, Charismatic Conqueror, and Bitterblossom, to trigger Marneus and draw multiple cards each turn cycle. The primary win condition is the compact combination of Thassa's Oracle and Demonic Consultation, which closes the game immediately on the stack on Turn 4. The deck safeguards this combo with premier countermagic and turn-silencing effects like Silence, Myrel, Shield of Argive, and Voice of Victory. If the primary combo is disrupted, the deck pivots into an infinite mana engine using Ashnod's Altar and Training Grounds with Marneus, draining opponents through Mirkwood Bats or overwhelming the table with a wide board buffed by Dollmaker's Shop // Porcelain Gallery.
