Deck overview

Heroes in a Half Shell leads an aggressive tribal-midrange strategy centered on Mutants, Ninjas, and Turtles. The deck focuses on curving out low-cost tribal threats in the early game, securing all five colors of mana, and casting the commander on Turn 5. Because Heroes in a Half Shell has haste, trample, and menace, it immediately attacks to trigger +1/+1 counters across your board and draw multiple cards when connecting with different opponents. The deck capitalizes on the Sneak mechanic to flash in attackers and cast powerful spells at discounted costs during combat. Damage amplifiers such as Raphael, the Nightwatcher, Raphael, Tag Team Tough, and Raphael, the Muscle rapidly multiply team power into a lethal clock by Turn 7. Graveyard recursion cards like Leonardo's Technique provide strong resilience against opposing board wipes.
