Deck overview

This Queen Marchesa deck is a Mardu control and political Aikido list designed to manipulate multiplayer dynamics and punish aggressive opponents. The deck establishes early pillowfort defenses, card advantage engines, and passive Treasure generation before using mass goad effects to force opponents to eliminate one another. Cards like Kardur, Doomscourge, Disrupt Decorum, and Taunt from the Rampart turn opposing creature boards into lethal weapons aimed away from the pilot. Meanwhile, rattlesnake tools such as Inkshield, Comeuppance, and Deflecting Palm prevent damage and turn opposing attacks into direct player elimination. Resource engines like Smothering Tithe, Descent into Avernus, and Trouble in Pairs provide the mana and card flow necessary to stay ahead. The deck closes games decisively in the mid-to-late game through asymmetric combat crackbacks, burst burn engines such as Repercussion combined with Blasphemous Act, or a massive Torment of Hailfire.
