Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The deck is a mono-black aristocrats/control build helmed by Drivnod, Carnage Dominus. The primary game plan revolves around generating value from creature deaths - each death trigger doubles under Drivnod, producing extra drain, tokens, card draw, and recursion. The win condition hinges on assembling one of two infinite combos: Exquisite Blood with any life-gain trigger (Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose or Enduring Tenacity) for a table-wide drain loop, or a Gravecrawler + Phyrexian Reclamation loop that feeds death-trigger payoffs like Vraan, Executioner Thane or Funeral Room. The deck supplements these with powerful value engines - The One Ring, Darkstar Augur, Morbid Opportunist - and efficient removal like Fatal Push and Sheoldred's Edict. It is a mid-range control deck that aims to grind opponents down while protecting its own life total, then close the game with an infinite combo or overwhelming board presence.
