Deck overview

This Mardu deck is a focused aggro-cheat strategy built around Kaalia of the Vast. The game plan centers on accelerating Kaalia onto the battlefield on Turn 3 or 4, protecting her with cheap equipment or free defensive spells, and attacking immediately to cheat massive Angels, Demons, and Dragons directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. Payloads include catastrophic damage doublers like Archfiend of Despair and Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, stax creatures like Linvala, Keeper of Silence and Angelic Arbiter, and board-protecting titans like Avacyn, Angel of Hope. If the game stalls, the deck can assemble an infinite combat loop using Helm of the Host and Aurelia, the Warleader, or leverage Quicksilver Amulet and reanimation spells to bypass commander reliance entirely. Robust single-target removal and asymmetric board wipes like Ruinous Ultimatum ensure the deck can clear obstacles while executing a rapid, lethal aerial clock.
