Deck overview

This Boros Voltron deck utilizes Lightning, Army of One as a lethal commander damage threat powered by Equipment synergies. Lightning's Stagger ability doubles all damage dealt to opponents she damages, turning modest power increases into immediate lethal commander clocks. The deck deploys early ramp and cost-reduction creatures, transitions into tutors for key defensive and evasive equipment, and attacks decisively on Turn 4-5. While the deck possesses a compact infinite combat loop in Aggravated Assault and Sword of Feast and Famine, its primary game plan relies on unblockable combat pressure, extra attack phases, and damage multiplication through Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar. A dense suite of hexproof, indestructible, and phasing protection safeguards the heavily equipped threat against spot removal and board wipes.
