This deck is an Abzan midrange reanimator strategy piloted by Betor, Ancestor's Voice. It exploits life-total swings to create continuous card and board advantage. In the early game, cheap ramp and self-mill engines stock the graveyard while modulating life totals through pain lands and life-payment outlets. Once Betor resolves, life lost earlier in the turn translates into free reanimation on the end step, while lifegain distributes +1/+1 counters to build massive threats. Payoffs such as Vilis, Broker of Blood, Gray Merchant of Asphodel, and Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose convert this continuous churn into asymmetric life loss for opponents. While resilient against single-target attrition thanks to redundant reanimators like Celestine, the Living Saint and Rodolf Duskbringer, the deck relies heavily on combat and graveyard access, leaving it vulnerable to rest-in-peace effects and board wipes.
