Deck overview

This is a mono-blue Sphinx tribal deck helmed by Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign, built around a cost-reduction and card-advantage engine. The primary game plan is to deploy Unesh, then chain inexpensive Sphinxes to generate card advantage through Unesh's Sphinx-ETB trigger, while accruing flyers to close out games via combat damage. The deck also includes several alternative win conditions: Triskadekaphile (exactly 13 cards in hand at upkeep), Atemsis, All-Seeing (six different mana values in hand), and Laboratory Maniac (self-mill, though the deck lacks dedicated mill). The commander is the engine - without it, Sphinxes become overcosted and the card advantage engine stalls. The deck relies on a heavy basic-land count to power Back to Basics as a stax piece, while a suite of bounce spells and a few counterspells provide interaction.
