Deck overview

This Commander deck is a five-color Dragon tribal build led by Tiamat. The game plan focuses on developing five-color mana velocity through early land ramp and cost reducers such as Farseek, Cultivate, and Dragonspeaker Shaman. On turn 5, casting Tiamat from the command zone searches out a customized package of five distinct Dragons, typically assembling Old Gnawbone, Hellkite Charger, and Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm. On turn 6, deploying Old Gnawbone alongside an attacking Tiamat creates an explosive Treasure engine. On turn 7, the deck executes an infinite combat loop by attacking with Hellkite Charger and Old Gnawbone, paying Charger's extra-combat trigger repeatedly with combat damage Treasures. The list is supported by asymmetric sweepers like Crux of Fate and Ruinous Ultimatum, along with efficient protection spells such as Heroic Intervention and Stubborn Denial.
