Deck overview

This deck is a classic Bant Exalted Voltron build commanded by Rafiq of the Many. The strategy establishes early exalted creatures such as Akrasan Squire and Noble Hierarch, casts Rafiq on Turn 4, and begins swinging on Turn 5 with double strike and unblockable auras like Steel of the Godhead or Aqueous Form. Because Rafiq deals lethal commander damage in one or two hits, the deck can eliminate players quickly in sequential combat steps. A dense suite of one-mana reactive protection spells, including Blossoming Defense, Dive Down, and Royal Treatment, protects Rafiq against targeted removal while leaving mana up. The primary limitations of the deck are its lack of card draw engines, its vulnerability to mass board wipes and edict effects, and the mechanical constraint of eliminating three separate opponents one combat step at a time.
