Deck overview

This deck is a Sultai Elf tribal and graveyard engine helmed by Thranduil, the Elvenking. The strategy accelerates mana early with efficient one- and two-drop Elf dorks before aggressively filling the graveyard using self-mill cards, Buried Alive, and creature discard tutors. Once deployed on Turn 4, Thranduil inherits all activated abilities of Elves in the graveyard. This turns him into a versatile mana engine, combat threat, and combo outlet. The primary win route pairs Devoted Druid and Immaculate Magistrate in the graveyard to place infinite +1/+1 counters on Thranduil and generate unbounded mana, which is converted into a simultaneous table kill via Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord's life-loss fling. If Thranduil is removed, the deck easily pivots into an aggressive wide Elf-ball plan led by Tyvar, the Pummeler, Abomination of Llanowar, and mass reanimation via Bloodline Bidding.
