Lathril (Elves) by zikfu

Format: Commander

Commander: Lathril, Blade of the Elves

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a focused Golgari Elfball strategy helmed by Lathril, Blade of the Elves. The primary game plan is to rapidly deploy a critical mass of Elf creatures, ramp heavily via mana dorks and lords, and overwhelm opponents through one of two repeatable outlets: a massive combat step pumped by lords like Elvish Archdruid and Ezuri, Renegade Leader, or Lathril's activated ability - tapping ten untapped Elves to drain each opponent for 10 life. The deck also packs a backup mana sink in Exsanguinate and a potential infinite-mana outlet in Walking Ballista (though no infinite mana combo is directly assembled). Token generation from Elvish Warmaster, Lys Alana Huntmaster, and Elvish Promenade fuels both the board and Lathril's ability. The deck eschews traditional counterspells for creature-based pressure and a handful of removal spells, aiming to outpace interaction with sheer momentum.
