Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet spellslinger strategy built around The Emperor of Palamecia and its back face, The Lord Master of Hell. In the early game, the deck deploys low-cost mana rocks and its commander, then transitions into casting high-impact noncreature spells costing 4 or more mana. Spells such as Big Score, Unexpected Windfall, and Fact or Fiction advance your mana and card advantage while placing +1/+1 counters on the Emperor. Once transformed into The Lord Master of Hell, each attack triggers Starfall, dealing direct damage to all opponents equal to the number of noncreature, nonland cards in your graveyard. Backed by cheap counterspells, board wipes, and alternate burn finishes like Chandra's Ignition, the deck reliably closes out games across two attack cycles.
