Deck overview

This deck is a classic 5-color Dragon Tribal Midrange strategy commanded by The Ur-Dragon. The deck leverages its commander's Eminence ability to discount heavy Dragon threats, allowing it to accelerate into massive flying beaters ahead of their printed mana costs. The early game focuses on mana fixing and ramp using 2-to-3-CMC artifacts, cost reducers like Urza's Incubator, and land-fetching spells. By Turn 5, the deck establishes an engine piece such as Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm, Terror of the Peaks, or Monster Manual. On Turn 6, the deck achieves critical onset by swinging with high-power flyers, triggering direct damage from Dragon Tempest and generating explosive mana via Klauth, Unrivaled Ancient. The deck closes the game across Turns 7 and 8 through overwhelming aerial pressure. While vulnerable to early aggro and mass exile board wipes, built-in ward, hexproof, and powerful late-game mass recursion like Eerie Ultimatum ensure strong resilience.
