Commander: Loki, the Deceiver

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Grixis Villain-tribal midrange deck built around Loki, the Deceiver and the Marvel-set mechanics of connive, Mayhem, and Villain tokens. Loki's attack trigger creates a temporary, nonlegendary copy of another Villain - best used to double up lords and engine pieces like The Squadron Sinister or Doctor Doom, King of Latveria - while his combat-damage trigger turns Villain swings into card draw. The 99 is a dense web of connive enablers (Leader, Super-Genius, Ultron, Unlimited, Prowler, Clawed Thief, Baron Strucker, HYDRA Overlord) that feed discard payoffs: Containment Construct, Currency Converter, and Doom's Time Platform cash in discarded cards, and the Mayhem keyword lets bombs like Abomination, World Ravager and The Squadron Sinister recur from the graveyard. The primary wins are combat and drain: flood the board with Villain tokens from Madame Hydra, Mysterio, Master of Illusion, Endless Ranks of HYDRA, and Age of Ultron, pump them with The Squadron Sinister, and close with Doom Reigns Supreme, Kang, Temporal Tyrant, and Maximum Carnage. There are no infinite combos - this is a grindy value beatdown deck.
