Format: Commander

Commander: Meren of Clan Nel Toth

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Meren of Clan Nel Toth leads a Golgari graveyard value deck that grinds advantage and wins through a drain loop. The primary plan fills the graveyard with self-mill and tutors, then loops Kokusho, the Evening Star or Gray Merchant of Asphodel with Mikaeus, the Unhallowed and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician to drain the table. Secondary paths use Living Death, Victimize, and Meren recursion to rebuild boards with Hornet Queen, Aatchik, Emerald Radian, and Colossal Grave-Reaver, or close with Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord. Meren acts as a repeatable reanimation engine that scales with experience counters. Razaketh, the Foulblooded and Yawgmoth function as hidden commanders that tutor and draw through sacrifice.
