Bring Out Your Dead! by Valkarion

Format: Commander

Commander: Zodiark, Umbral God

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Zodiark is a mono-black aristocrat-control deck that converts symmetric sacrifice into asymmetric drain. The main line is assembling Blood Artist/Zulaport Cutthroat/Bastion of Remembrance with token fodder, then using edicts, Grave Pact, and finally Zodiark to strip opposing boards while pinging. The cleanest kill is Pox Plague while Warlock Class is at Level 3: the end-step trigger doubles all life lost that turn and finishes the table. Backup wins are Gray Merchant devotion bursts, Syr Konrad pings, and heavy reanimation. Zodiark is a one-sided reset and counter source rather than the engine; the deck operates without him. There is no double-faced commander or hidden commander in the 99.
