Deck overview

This deck is a mono-green Hydra tribal strategy built around Gargos, Vicious Watcher. The primary game plan focuses on deploying early mana acceleration to cast Gargos ahead of curve on Turn 4 or 5. Once on the battlefield, Gargos reduces the cost of all Hydra spells by {4}, allowing massive X-cost and high-mana creatures to enter at heavily discounted rates. Furthermore, Gargos turns cheap targeted buff and protection spells—such as Royal Treatment, Tyvar's Stand, and Primal Might—into one-sided fight removal against opposing creatures. Card draw is generated through power-based draw spells like Garruk's Uprising, Return of the Wildspeaker, and Rishkar's Expertise, while trampling overruns secure victory across 2 combat cycles.
